Styles

Mankato Martial Arts has a refreshing structure that is unique to the region. Most martial arts schools are are focused on a single style. They are a Karate school, or a Tae Kwon Do school, or a Judo school. At Mankato Martial Arts we have Chief Instructors or Coaches for each system being offered. Grades are available in each, but only if a student reaches full proficiency sufficient for the grade in question. Our Black Belts are often seen wearing different colored belts when taking classes from their peer instructors as they work on broadening their understanding of martial arts.

Mixed Martial Arts - A Full contact combat sport that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques and skills from a mixture of martial arts and non-martial arts traditions, to be used in competitions. Learn more »

Muay Thai - Martial art from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. Learn more »
